HAUNTED ATTRACTION CONCEPTS

Carowinds Theme Park / Scarowinds' Halloween Haunt,2008
When Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom wanted to inject it's annual "Fright Fest" event with an extra dose of terror, they called See-Nick-Design. Nick concepted, designed, and painted a brand-new, upcharge haunted attraction, "Nightmare Inc." In the 2005 season, "Nightmare Inc. entertained more paying guests than the free haunted attraction offered across the park!

"SCAROWINDS' HALLOWEEN HAUNT"
Design and art direction of haunted attraction props and custom scenic elements.

In 2008, Bad Boys Scenic Design invited Nick to work with them as a guest designer/scenic artist in a full-day, haunt scenery workshop. The workshop was designed for haunters who want to achieve a higher level of detail in their haunted attractions.
In 8 hours, the talented team used:
- a pile of lumber
- a table full of paint cans
- a few props and fixtures
- LED lighting fixtures from Minispotlight.com
and created a fully detailed Haunt scene. At the end of the workshop, the set was auctioned off with proceeds going to a fellow haunter battling breast cancer.
The paint and foam carving below was done by Nick's talented colleague, Michael 'Jonz' Jones.
